An icon has attached itself to an MP4 file that I created and it bears no relationship to what the file is virtually and I desire to remove information technology.

Got it.
So you don't have that option on your terminate when you correct-click to that file, then Properties>Shortcut and alter icon at the lesser of the pop-up.
Do y'all have that? Attached a screenshot of this for your reference.

I know what you hateful now.
Thank you for the screenshots.
Basically, the icon you have is the VLC plan which is the one you defaulted to view your mp4 files.
At present nearly the picture, this is called Embrace art picture of the file. Meaning this is embedded to the .MP4 file. If you wish to remove this, follow the steps beneath:
1. Open the .MP4 file from your VLC program.
ii. Click Tools
3. And select Audio
iv. On the Visualization, select Visualizer Filter.
five. Save information technology and close the VLC.
half dozen. So endeavor once again.

Distressing for the misunderstanding MyDayIsGood_777.
What I mean virtually the VLC, in which it will permit yous edit the Cover fine art picture.
This is a cover art pic added by the one who fabricated this mp4 and probably if this was created by you, the mp3 or music on this file was created by someone and they added this cover are.
Yous may use the VLC to edit this.
Permit me know if this helps, if not, I will let other advisors check on this.
